Terra Gold, MTOM, is a Yoga Therapist, Oriental Medicine practitioner, nutrition specialist and wellness educator in the Los Angeles area. She holds a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, and received a BA from UCLA in World Arts and Cultures and Dance Movement Therapy where she was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in her field. Terra has an allied professional (2 year) degree in Integrative Body Psychotherapy from the Rosenberg-Kitaen Institute of Integrative Body Psychotherapy and draws from all of her trainings to offer clients effective ways to manage stress and achieve their highest potential in health and wellness.

Since 1996, Terra has been teaching yoga in L.A. while developing a unique style that blends Vinyasa, Yoga Therapeutics, Body Psychology, Eastern Energy Techniques and Western physical assessment with core stabilization techniques.  She is on the faculty of Loyola Marymount University’s prestigious YogaRX program and was listed in June 2009 edition of Yoga Therapy Today Magazine as “one of the 12 finest yoga therapists in the country.” Terra also spends some of her time as a clinical specialist and assistant to Dr Bong Dal Kim, founder and president of Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Over the past 13 years Terra has worked at many of the top yoga studios and sports clubs in Los Angeles including: Yogaworks (Westwood and Santa Monica), Santa Monica Power Yoga, LA Yoga Center (Westwood), Yoga Meditation Insight  (West Hollywood), Body Mind and Soul (West Hollywood), Sports Club Beverly Hills, Spectrum Sports Club (West Hollywood) and Meridian Sports Club (Century City). She has been featured in Yogi Times, Yoga Mind Body Spirit, on the cover of LA Yoga magazine and in the widely acclaimed book, Shakti, the Feminine Power of Yoga.

Currently, Terra holds weekly events with yoga and live music at YogaCo, classes at Sports Club Los Angeles and leads monthly kirtans at Bhakti Yoga Shala. She maintains a private yoga therapy practice in Santa Monica, CA, and together with her husband, Eden Goldman, DC, is co-founder of “Yoga Doctors,“ a wellness based company dedicated to advancing Yoga’s role within the medical community and increasing Yoga’s visibility in the general public as a preventive form of medicine, a therapeutic modality and an approach to health.
